Do you want to learn meditation but your busy life has stopped you? Then this one day workshop is designed for you! It will give you a break from your hectic schedule and teach you the tools and understanding to start a regular meditation practice.
More people than ever are experiencing the benefits of meditation and there are so many types available. Distinctively, this One Day Workshop is based on the best selling book ‘The Tibetan Book of Living and Dying’ by Sogyal Rinpoche and it offers a spacious yet ample introduction to centuries old authentic Tibetan Buddhist meditation practices.
Although these techniques come from 2,000 years of Buddhist wisdom – meditation and mindfulness have become invaluable tools for modern people in our modern age. However it can be more than techniques and tools for modern living, it can also be experienced as a true spiritual path.
Aimed at those newer to the practices and to Tibetan Buddhism in general this workshop has been developed over many years and is led by a team of experienced meditators.
Expect the day to consist of videos, pairs discussion, opportunities to ask questions and guided practice.
Divided into four sessions over one day (9:30am – 4:30pm) you will be introduced to topics such as:
- What is meditation and why meditate?
- The posture and the method
- The View
- Different methods available
- The benefits of meditation
- How to bring the benefits into your daily life
These workshops are held multiple times each year and will begin again in February 2018, after our usual Christmas break.
